DHPA Welcomes Three New Practices; Expands Membership to 31 States

We’re excited to announce that University Gastroenterology, GI Associates and Advanced Gastroenterology Group  have joined the ranks of DHPA, further strengthening the voice of independent gastroenterologists on important policy and regulatory issues. With the addition of these groups, DHPA’s membership has risen to 61 practices located in 31 states, and our member practices include more than 1,400 gastroenterologists and other physician specialists who provide care for 2 million people in nearly 4 million distinct patient encounters annually.

University Gastroenterology is a 19 member single specialty group providing patient friendly, cutting edge care for diseases of the liver and gastrointestinal tract. Their doctors are regionally recognized for their expertise in general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and therapeutic endoscopy. The group has major campuses in Providence, East Greenwich, and Portsmouth. Each campus houses a state-of-the-art ambulatory Endoscopy Center that provides a caring and cost effective environment. University Gastroenterology is DHPA’s first member in the state of Rhode Island.

GI Associates is the largest physician practice in central and northern Wisconsin dedicated exclusively to gastroenterology care. Their experienced, Board Certified physicians offer advanced gastroenterology care, and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of adults and children with diseases of the digestive tract, pancreas, liver and gallbladder. A number of their registered nurses are nationally certified in gastroenterology care and their associate providers are certified practitioners with specialized training. GI Associates offers a comprehensive range of digestive health services including colon cancer screening, reflux, swallowing disorders, Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis, celiac disease and more.

As board certified, fellowship trained gastroenterologists, the physicians of Advanced Gastroenterology Group in Union and Elizabeth, NJ specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas and gallbladder. From diagnosis to treatment, they focus on customized, patient-centered, compassionate care utilizing state-of-the-art medical technology and cutting-edge procedures to ensure optimal outcomes for all of their patients.
